(BAKHMUT, DONETSK OBLAST) \u2013 Ukrainian forces have conducted a series of deep strikes against high value Russian military targets across the occupied territories and inside Russia itself, destroying air defence systems, ammunition depots, and a vehicle storage site in a coordinated operation.<\/p>\n
Footage released on 1 May 2026 by the commander of the SBS group, known as “Madyar,” showed precision strikes carried out by various SBS drone units operating at operational depth behind enemy lines. The targets included a Nebo-M radar system, a Buk-M3 surface to air missile system, multiple ammunition storage points, and a concentration of over 30 military vehicles.<\/p>\n
The Nebo-M radar station was struck near the settlement of Ukolovo, located at the intersection of Russia’s Belgorod and Kursk regions. The attack was conducted by the “Middle Strike” drone unit of the 429th Separate SBS Regiment “Achilles.” The Nebo-M is a sophisticated long range radar system designed to detect and track aerial targets, making it a critical asset for Russia’s integrated air defence network.<\/p>\n
A Buk-M3 air defence system was destroyed near Novorlivka in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk Oblast. The strike was carried out by drones from the 1st SBS Operations Centre. These represent the 25th and 26th enemy air defence elements eliminated by SBS units during April 2026.<\/p>\n
Ammunition storage sites were hit at two separate locations in the temporarily occupied Donetsk Oblast. A depot near Rozdolne was struck by the “Kairos” 9th Battalion of the 414th Separate SBS Regiment “Birds of Madyar.” A second ammunition warehouse near Rovenky was destroyed by drones from the 1st SBS Operations Centre.<\/p>\n
In Bakhmut, a vehicle storage site containing more than 30 units of military equipment was struck by the 1st SBS Operations Centre. The city has remained a focal point of intense combat operations since its occupation by Russian forces.<\/p>\n
Further strikes targeted a UAV unit deployment point near Inzhenerne in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, conducted by the 412th Separate SBS Regiment “Nemesis.” A personnel concentration point near Hryhorivka in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Oblast was also hit by the 1st SBS Operations Centre.<\/p>\n
The targeting of these sites was coordinated by the newly established SBS Deep Strike Centre, which consolidates intelligence and operational planning for strikes far beyond the line of contact. The unit’s commander described the operations as part of an ongoing effort to systematically degrade Russian rear area infrastructure, noting that the enemy’s logistics tail is being pushed progressively further from the frontline.<\/p>\n
