(SAINT PETERSBURG, LENINGRAD OBLAST) –<\/span><\/strong> Ukrainian drones struck energy and military targets in Saint Petersburg early on 3 June, hours before international guests gathered for the city’s flagship economic forum. The attack dealt a significant blow to the Russian dictator on the opening day of an event designed to project Russian strength.<\/span><\/p>\n

The strike destroyed an oil export terminal and refinery in Russia’s second city. A corvette belonging to the Baltic Fleet of the Russian Federation was also hit at Kronstadt, an island adjacent to Saint Petersburg. The Black Sea fleet has already been rendered almost nonexistent by Ukrainian aerial and marine drones, forcing a relocation of its headquarters to Novorossiysk, a port that also burns quite often. This latest attack may signal the beginning of a similar campaign against the Baltic fleet.<\/span><\/p>\n

Most significantly, the strike dismantled the Kremlin’s carefully curated image of control in front of international visitors. Greedy people from different corners of the world still attend the forum, indifferent to how bloody the money is. Today, they were all frightened. Guests of the forum witnessed the Russian dictator’s hometown covered in smoke because he brought war back home. Many foreign attendees who were travelling from Moscow found Saint Petersburg airports closed. Air traffic was redirected to Moscow as the nearest operational airport for some aircraft, an ironic result of the situation that Ukrainian drones now control the skies over the European part of the Russian Federation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Several invitees who had been prepared to invest in the collapsing Russian economy, or who had been bribed to visit, including some American social media influencers such as Candace Owens and the Tate brothers, found themselves unable to land. Many returned to Moscow without attending the forum. They now know the Russian dictator has failed. The disruption proved deeply symbolic. The entire city, the northern capital, was burning, exploding, and the airports were not functioning.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Russian dictator was scheduled to attend and deliver a speech but may now avoid the forum. He is known to be a coward, and images of him photographed against a backdrop of smoke would damage his carefully managed persona. His spokesperson, Peskov, claimed the special military operation was launched to prevent attacks like this on Saint Petersburg. This statement fails on two counts. First, the attack was not prevented. Second, and critically, no such attacks occurred before the full scale invasion of Ukraine. These are the consequences of a crime supported by millions of Russians, now fully enjoyed deep inside Russia.<\/span><\/p>\n

A further target neutralised on the same day was the Progress plant in Michurinsk, Tambov Region. This is a vital military factory for the Russian army, producing components for air defence systems and missiles. The destruction of such production facilities means innocent lives are saved. The only working peace plan is to defeat and demilitarise Russia.<\/span><\/p>\n

Footage released by eyewitnesses and analysed by OSINT channels including ASTRA and Exilenova+ confirmed the extent of the damage across Saint Petersburg, Kronstadt, and Michurinsk.<\/span><\/p>\n
