Just one day earlier, on 10 June, the Kuibyshev Oil Refinery in the Samara region ceased all oil processing operations following a successful strike. Industry sources cited by Reuters confirmed that two primary distillation units, AVT-4 and AVT-5, were knocked out of service due to damage and fires. <\/span><\/p>\n

Each unit possessed a processing capacity of approximately 10,000 tonnes of crude oil per day. The Governor of the Samara region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, acknowledged three casualties and damage to multiple industrial facilities. The Kuibyshev Refinery, part of the Rosneft structure, is among the largest in the region and has been struck on multiple previous occasions, including in March 2024, August 2025 and January of this year.<\/span><\/p>\n
