(MOSCOW, RUSSIA)<\/strong>\u00a0– Russian state television has descended into open panic and recrimination as Ukrainian drone strikes continue to strike targets deep inside Russian territory, exposing significant vulnerabilities in the country’s air defence network.<\/p>\n

During a broadcast on the Rossiya 1 channel, prominent Kremlin propagandist Vladimir Solovyov erupted at studio guests amid discussions of recent Ukrainian attacks on Russian infrastructure.<\/p>\n

Solovyov escalated threats against Ukraine to genocidal levels.<\/p>\n

“I believe that Ukraine should be wiped off the face of the earth while warning the population to leave first but destroyed,” he stated. He further speculated about potential Russian responses to a hypothetical strike on Red Square. “We understand very well that even when we completely wipe them off the face of the earth, I am not saying if, I am saying when. Because imagine if there is an attack on Red Square. How will we explain to the people if after that we do not wipe Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odesa, Mykolaiv off the face of the earth?”<\/p>\n

The Spin Snipers programme contrasted these threats with documented reality. “The Russian army strikes peaceful Ukrainian cities every single day. Innocent people die every day because of these acts. Every Russian war crime has been clearly documented. There is evidence for everything. And Bucha, where in 2022 Russian forces committed real atrocities, images that shocked the world and revealed the true face of the Russian army is simply beyond explanations.”<\/p>\n

The Spin Snipers analysis rejected Russian claims of Ukrainian terrorism. “Ukraine does not attack Russian citizens, does not target civilians, and has no plans to invade or take over Russian territory. Russia, on the other hand, does all of the above. Russia tries to wipe peaceful Ukrainian towns and villages off the map. That is their battlefield tactic. They do not know any other way to fight.”<\/p>\n

The report also addressed Russian attempts to justify military failures by claiming Ukraine had been heavily armed prior to the 2022 invasion. “We clearly remember how reluctantly partners started sending weapons to Ukraine before the invasion. We have to admit deliveries were slow and even after the invasion began. There were always long negotiations and pleas to get this or that equipment. Let me remind you some systems like Tomahawks or Taurus missiles are still not available to Kyiv.”<\/p>\n

Solovyov acknowledged Russia’s diminished capacity compared to the Soviet era, particularly regarding potential responses to drone incursions through Baltic airspace. “The Soviet Union would have destroyed the Baltics on the second day through whose territory it was flying. But Russia cannot do that for one simple reason. Because when you take a certain step, you have to calculate its consequences.”<\/p>\n
