(KADIIVKA, LUHANSK OBLAST) – Ukrainian forces have reported the destruction of a command post belonging to a unit of Russia\u2019s 58th Army in occupied Kadiivka, approximately 55 kilometres from the line of contact in Luhansk region.<\/p>\n
The strike is described as part of ongoing daily operations targeting what Ukrainian sources refer to as high value Russian command locations, where senior military personnel from brigade and division level structures are believed to be based.<\/p>\n
The targeted site is said to be one of several positions used by Russian command staff coordinating operations in occupied areas of eastern Ukraine.<\/p>\n
Ukrainian personnel involved in the operation questioned the effectiveness of the warhead used in the strike. They noted that two separate drone approaches, both reportedly carrying 100 kilogram warheads, produced differing levels of destruction on similar targets.<\/p>\n
According to the account, six aerial platforms were deployed in the operation. It is suggested that two of these would have been sufficient to fully destroy the primary target, while the remaining four were intended for additional but similar command positions.<\/p>\n
The statement included direct criticism of warhead performance and procurement processes, with Ukrainian personnel calling for manufacturers to address what they describe as persistent issues in effectiveness.<\/p>\n
The commentary further urged producers to engage directly with operational units rather than relying solely on institutional channels, arguing that feedback from field use is not being adequately incorporated into design and production decisions.<\/p>\n
The unit responsible also noted its reliance on self assembled munitions and internally developed systems for a majority of its operations. It stated that approximately 100,000 units of various types are produced monthly for use in multiple roles, excluding medium and deep strike warheads due to resource constraints.<\/p>\n
Despite these limitations, the unit indicated it would be capable of expanding production of more advanced munitions if resources allowed.<\/p>\n
