(NIMULE) – The South Sudan National Bureau of Standards (SSNBS) intercepted a shipment of 11 fuel trucks at the Nimule border crossing following a routine inspection on August 19.
The fuel, upon laboratory analysis, was found to be non compliant with established East African standards and failed to meet the requisite safety and performance specifications for consumption within the country.
In accordance with its mandate to safeguard public health, protect the environment, and ensure consumer safety, the SSNBS has issued an order for the non compliant fuel to be returned to its country of origin.
