(JUBA) – Mapula Bodibe, Chief Executive Officer of MTN South Sudan on Thursday 25th September 2025 paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Lt. Gen. Rabi Mujung Emmanuel, Governor of Central Equatoria State. The visit focused on enhancing collaboration, mutual cooperation and working relations between the telecom company and the state government.
During the meeting, Bodibe congratulated Governor Mujung on his appointment by H.E. the President and shared MTN’s commitment to corporate social responsibility. Discussions also covered expanding network coverage to areas currently without service and strengthening ties with state institutions.
Key government officials present included the State Minister of Finance, Planning and Investment Hon. Salah Rajab Bunduki, Minister of Trade and Industry Hon. Stephen Lado Onesimo, Minister of Information and Communication Hon. Nyarsuk Patrick, Minister of Housing, Lands and Public Utilities Hon. David Morbe, and the Commissioner General of the State Revenue Authority Hon. Moses Idoru.
The ministers and MTN management exchanged ideas on how to improve service delivery and advance mutual development goals. Both sides pledged to cooperate closely to enhance network reach and ensure that residents of Central Equatoria State benefit from better telecom services.
Governor Mujung welcomed MTN’s CEO and her team, expressing gratitude for the visit. He highlighted the importance of close cooperation between private companies and state institutions, including the Ministry of Information and Communication, to improve service delivery.
He assured MTN that the state government is ready to provide a conducive environment for investment and partnership, stressing that strong collaboration with the private sector is vital for promoting development and improving livelihoods.
