(JUBA) – The Governor of Central Equatoria State, Rabi Mujung Emmanuel, who also serves as Chairperson of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) in the state, has called on party staff to foster unity and adopt innovative approaches to reinvigorate the party’s activities and leadership at all levels.
The remarks were made during his first strategic consultative staff meeting held on Friday at the SPLM State Secretariat in Juba. The session aimed to familiarise the new chairperson with the operational structure of the secretariat, while creating a platform to address institutional challenges and align party activities with SPLM’s wider mission and goals.
Governor Mujung emphasised that achieving tangible progress would require a united and creative leadership approach.
“Collective leadership is essential. We must move forward with unity and innovation,” he stated during his address.
The meeting was facilitated by Emmanuel Kose, Assistant Secretary for Culture, Information and Communication, who also serves as the official spokesperson for the SPLM in Central Equatoria. Discussions at the meeting included the identification of gaps in performance, internal coordination issues, and areas requiring administrative improvement within the party’s secretariat.
Governor Mujung highlighted that innovation must play a central role in reconnecting with citizens and strengthening the party’s structures from the grassroots level upwards. He also underlined the need to re-energise mobilisation efforts across the state, especially ahead of key political activities expected in the coming months.
