The Executive Director of Tali Payam in Terekeka County has reported that heavy rainfall has resulted in the road connecting the area to Terekeka town being completely cut off.
In an interview with media this morning, Peter Mayen Abuk stated that the road has been submerged by torrential rains, making it extremely difficult for vehicles to pass through.
The lack of proper road infrastructure in the area is a recurring issue during the rainy season, severely disrupting travel and transportation.
Abuk expressed his concerns, stating, “The main challenge we are facing in Tali Payam is the condition of our roads. The road to the county headquarters is inaccessible due to lack of construction and maintenance. This isolation is hindering the delivery of essential services to our community.”
Additionally, Abuk highlighted the absence of security forces in the area and appealed to the national government for the deployment of police officers to ensure the safety of residents.
He emphasized the need for immediate action, stating, “We are in urgent need of police presence in Tali Payam. The current number of officers is insufficient to maintain law and order. We urge the authorities to address this issue promptly for the safety and security of our community.”
