(KYIV) – The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has confirmed the successful destruction of a critical Russian military logistics hub located at Donetsk International Airport. In a coordinated strike, Ukrainian units utilised a combination of ATACMS ballistic missiles and SCALP cruise missiles to target a facility dedicated to the storage, preparation, and launch of Shahed type attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Evidence from the scene indicates a large scale fire and secondary detonations, with subsequent reports confirming the total destruction of the warehouse.
In the Krasnodar region, Ukrainian forces struck the Armavir station, a vital reservoir buffer for the Transneft pipeline section. The resulting fire has forced a total cessation of fuel flow along the route toward the port of Novorossiysk. Furthermore, overnight raids in occupied Crimea resulted in the destruction of the Yevpatoriya aircraft repair plant and at least two Pantsir air defence systems. Reports from “Magyar’s Birds” indicate a significant suppression of Russian air defences in the south, with drones successfully taking out Buk, S300, and Tor systems. These operations have been bolstered by the deployment of Firepoint 1 and Firepoint 2 drones, which travel at speeds up to 205 km/h. While a Firepoint 1 unit is valued at approximately $50,000 (£38,400), the more powerful Firepoint 2 costs roughly $100,000 (£76,800).
Simultaneously, a diplomatic and financial crisis has emerged between Ukraine and Hungary. The Hungarian government, led by Victor Orban, has reportedly seized a Ukrainian state bank convoy transiting from Vienna. The seizure included $82 million (£63 million) in cash and gold bullion belonging to Oschadbank. While the bank employees were released after 24 hours, the Hungarian authorities continue to hold the assets, allegedly as leverage to force the reopening of the Druzhba oil pipeline. Oschadbank has since initiated international legal proceedings to recover the stolen funds.
The human cost of the conflict remains high, with a recent Russian ballistic missile strike on an apartment building in Kharkiv killing 11 civilians, including two children. This occurs as Ukraine resumes symbolic electricity exports, sending 12 megawatt hours to Moldova following a winter of heavy infrastructure targeting. Meanwhile, the United States has intensified its military campaign against Iran. The USS Gerald Ford has joined the USS Abraham Lincoln in the Red Sea for what appears to be a protracted bombing effort. Despite the destruction of Iranian factories and naval assets, Iranian drones have struck civilian targets in Dubai and Kuwait, including a 90 floor skyscraper. This regional instability has led Gulf states to request thousands of interceptor drones from Ukraine to supplement their limited Patriot missile stocks.
Ukraine successfully destroyed a Russian drone logistics hub with a combined attack of ATACMS and SCALP missiles. Orban of Hungary has robbed a Ukrainian bank convoy and stole $82 million dollars from Ukraine. Trump’s war against Iran is currently crashing the global economy.
