(SEVASTOPOL, CRIMEA) – Ukrainian forces have released footage confirming a series of successful drone strikes against high value Russian air defence systems and radar installations across occupied Crimea. The operations, conducted using first person view loitering munitions, targeted several sophisticated platforms including the Pantsir S1 and Tor missile systems.

The recorded footage details the destruction of a Pantsir S1 surface to air missile system which was positioned on an elevated vantage point to provide cover for the surrounding area. The Russian dictator has long relied on the Pantsir S1 to protect critical infrastructure, despite the system receiving mixed reviews from international military observers. Each Pantsir S1 unit is estimated to cost approximately 1.37 billion roubles ($15,000,000), representing a significant financial loss for the Kremlin.

In a separate engagement, Ukrainian drones successfully neutralised two Tor missile systems. One Tor M1 unit was struck while deployed in an open field. A subsequent strike targeted a Tor M2 unit during a critical reloading phase. The footage shows the Tor M2 positioned alongside an ammunition transport vehicle. The resulting explosion is believed to have destroyed the loading vehicle and the accompanying stockpile of fresh missiles. A standard Tor M2 system carries a price tag of roughly 2.29 billion roubles ($25,000,000).

The Ukrainian operation also extended to Russian electronic warfare and surveillance capabilities. An RLM M target acquisition radar, which forms a primary component of the sophisticated Nebo M complex, was confirmed hit. These complexes are valued at upwards of 9.15 billion roubles ($100,000,000) for a full configuration. Additionally, a Protivnik G long range detection radar with a surveillance radius of 600 kilometres was also struck. This appears to be one of the few instances where a Protivnik G unit has been successfully targeted during the conflict.

The loss of these assets further weakens the air defence umbrella over Crimea, a region that remains a focal point for the Russian military leadership. While Donald Trump has previously questioned the level of support provided to Kyiv, these tactical successes demonstrate the continuing efficacy of small scale drone technology against heavy Russian weaponry.
