(LYMAN AREA, DONETSK REGION) – Ukrainian forces have reported a series of targeted drone operations against Russian occupying troops in forested areas and nearby settlements in the Lyman direction, according to footage and statements released by the SIGNUM battalion.
The operation began in a wooded area where two occupying soldiers attempted to hide among the trees. Ukrainian drone pilots identified both individuals. One target was neutralised immediately. During a second approach to confirm the outcome, the drone crew detected the second soldier lying nearby under a tree and attempting to appear dead. The attempt at concealment was unsuccessful.
The unit continued its mission by moving deeper into the forest. Drone reconnaissance then identified a concealed shelter containing a UAZ vehicle. Ukrainian forces struck the position, destroying the vehicle along with a motorcycle that was stored nearby. The loss of this equipment further reduced the mobility of the occupying forces in the area.
The route of the operation then passed through a nearby settlement. Ukrainian drones confirmed the presence of occupying troops and conducted strikes on identified targets, continuing the methodical approach aimed at clearing the area of hostile positions.
In the final phase of the operation, drone pilots spotted another shelter, the entrance of which was covered by camouflage netting. The drone moved under the net and directly into the shelter. Confirmation footage showed a quad bike that had been completely burned out as a result of the strike.
According to the SIGNUM battalion, its drone pilots are systematically clearing forested areas and rear positions of the occupying forces. The unit described the operation as part of ongoing efforts to deny cover, transport and safe movement to Russian troops operating in the Lyman sector.
The information and visuals were published by the SIGNUM Telegram channel, which regularly reports on Ukrainian drone activities along the front lines.
