(KOSTROMA, RUSSIA) – Long range drones operated by the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) Alpha Special Operations Centre have successfully conducted precision strikes against two major military infrastructure facilities located deep within Russian territory.
According to reports from SSU sources, a significant series of explosions occurred at Arsenal Number 100 of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate (GRAU) situated in the Neya District of the Kostroma region. The facility suffered extensive damage as ammunition stores continued to detonate throughout the night, forcing local officials to initiate the evacuation of residents from several neighbouring settlements. This specific arsenal has been identified as a critical logistics hub used by the Russian dictator to supply ammunition to frontline depots across western and central operation zones.
Simultaneously, Ukrainian drones targeted the Gerkon Plus oil depot located in Streletskie Khutora within the Lipetsk region. The strike resulted in a massive fire at the site, which serves as a primary source of petroleum products for the military and industrial sectors in the Tambov, Voronezh and Lipetsk regions. SSU representatives noted that such strikes are part of a continued strategy to degrade the ability of the Russian dictator to maintain his illegal invasion by cutting off essential fuel and munitions supplies.
Russian claims regarding the incident have been met with skepticism by international observers, as local reports of mass evacuations and visible secondary explosions contradict official attempts to downplay the damage. These latest operations follow a similar strike on 31 December against the Temp oil depot in Rybinsk, further demonstrating the increasing vulnerability of the Russian rear.
