(KYIV) – More than 1,170 kilometres of logistics routes in Ukraine’s frontline regions have been protected from first person view drone attacks, Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov has announced.
Fedorov reported the milestone on Telegram, confirming that the pace of constructing anti drone road defences has doubled compared to 2025. “1,170+ km of routes are already protected, we have doubled the speed of constructing anti drone protection in frontline regions,” he noted.
The enemy actively uses FPV drones to attack transport and logistics routes near the front line, according to the minister. In response, the State Special Transport Service, under the direction of the Ministry of Defence, is scaling up anti drone protection in frontline regions.
“Such solutions ensure stable logistics, rapid supply of resources, and safe evacuation of the wounded even under enemy fire,” Fedorov emphasised.
He stressed that in recent months the pace has significantly accelerated, with the speed of constructing anti drone road defences doubling. Compared to 2025, the pace increased from 4 to 8.5 kilometres per day.
“In February to April alone, 430 km of anti drone protection was installed and 106 km of roads were restored. In total, over 1,170 km of logistics routes have already been protected,” the minister informed.
Fedorov noted that a separate focus is the restoration of roads in frontline regions. “Work is ongoing in five regions. Over 60 km of roads have already been restored, including the completion of three sections in the Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv directions,” he added.
