(CHECHNYA, ACHKHOT MARTAN DISTRICT) – A building used by the Russian Federal Security Service, commonly known as the FSB, was destroyed by fire after a drone strike in the Achkhot Martan district of Chechnya. The incident took place during the night of 2 December.
According to footage shared online, the facility was left in ruins after a fire spread through the structure. Local police buildings in the same area were also reported to have been struck, though there are no confirmed details yet on the extent of that damage.
Russian officials have not made any formal public comments about the incident. However, the Russian Ministry of Defence stated that air defences shot down four drones over Chechnya that night. Independent confirmation of this claim has not been provided.
The attack comes during increased reports of drone activity against military and security infrastructure inside Russian controlled territory. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have continued to target fuel and security installations, including a strike on the Orelnefteprodukt oil facility in Oryol region on the same night. That attack caused a fire at the site.
