(KHARKIV REGION, UKRAINE) – Ukrainian border guard drone operators from the Furia unmanned aerial vehicle unit have released footage showing the destruction of Russian military equipment in the South Slobozhansky direction, according to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
During regular drone sorties in the area, the unit struck five Russian vehicles, an electronic warfare system, and a fuel and lubricants depot used by Russian forces. The service said the strikes were carried out as part of ongoing efforts to disrupt Russian military activity near the border.
The border guard service reported that attack drones also destroyed one Russian occupier and an enemy first person view drone. In addition, drones dropped munitions on two Russian shelters identified during reconnaissance flights.
A caption accompanying the video said Russian forces continued to attempt to camouflage their positions and change locations. It added that despite these efforts, Ukrainian drone operators were able to detect targets and carry out successful strikes.
The latest report follows earlier statements from Ukrainian officials that units of the Hart border guard brigade had also delivered effective drone strikes in the same direction. Those operations reportedly damaged a truck, several sport utility vehicles, communication antennas, shelters, and Russian personnel.
The South Slobozhansky direction, which covers parts of the Kharkiv region near the Russian border, has seen frequent drone activity as Ukrainian forces rely increasingly on unmanned systems to monitor and strike Russian positions linked to the invasion ordered by the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
