(JUBA) – Telecommunications provider MTN South Sudan has launched two promotional services aimed at boosting digital access and maintaining voice connectivity for users across the country, particularly targeting youth and lo -income communities over the weekend and beyond.
The first offer, branded as the “Weekend Bundle Special,” provides users with 2GB of mobile data valid from Friday to Monday. The bundle is activated by dialling *100*4# and is aimed at users who need consistent access to data for chatting, browsing and streaming without interruption.
The second initiative, branded as “Dafa le ana”, allows MTN users to make calls without airtime by selecting an option for the recipient to pay for the call. This option is especially helpful in situations where the caller has run out of credit but needs to urgently reach someone. Once the call is initiated, the caller is prompted to select “Option 1” to send a payment request to the receiver.
These services come as mobile usage continues to rise across South Sudan, with many young people relying on affordable internet and call packages for social connection, business communication and online education.
