The Electoral Committee of the South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF) has finalised the list of candidates vying for leadership of the federation from 2025 to 2029. A press conference held at the SSFF headquarters in Juba on Friday, August 8, revealed that Kamal John and Teng Deng have been excluded from the presidential race, while Augustino Maduot and Francis Amin Michael have been endorsed as candidates.

Adv. Arnis Faulo Marino, speaking on behalf of the Electoral Committee, stated that Kamal John and Teng Deng did not meet the necessary requirements for candidacy, resulting in their disqualification. The selection process was conducted meticulously to ensure adherence to the SSFF statutes and electoral regulations.

Following a comprehensive review by the Appeals Committee, the final list of candidates was confirmed. Charles Udwar Ukech, Makur Kariom, and Simon Peter Chuol have been cleared to run for the position of First Vice President, while Deng Abdelrahman and Vennsio Amum Deng are contesting for the role of Second Vice President. Additionally, 20 candidates have been approved to compete for positions on the Executive Committee.

The SSFF elections are scheduled for August 15, 2025. The federation has urged all stakeholders to actively and peacefully participate in the electoral process, underscoring its significance in shaping the future of football in South Sudan.
