(KHARKIV REGION, UKRAINE) – Ukrainian border guard units operating in the Kharkiv region have reported continued success in targeting Russian positions during ongoing combat operations.

According to the State Border Guard Service, personnel from the rapid response commandant unit “Shkval” of the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment, operating as part of Ukraine’s Defence Forces, carried out a series of combat drone flights. During these missions, unmanned aerial vehicle operators identified and destroyed Russian positions and communication systems.

Ukrainian officials said Russian troops attempted to conceal themselves underground by constructing makeshift shelters, described as “burrows”, in an effort to avoid detection by aerial reconnaissance. However, drone surveillance units from “Shkval” located these positions and carried out strikes, eliminating the concealed forces.

The report states that repeated attempts by Russian forces to establish and hold positions in this sector have consistently failed.

The “Shkval” commandant unit is composed of personnel with extensive combat experience. The unit has previously operated in several regions, including Kyiv, Kharkiv, Luhansk and Donetsk, where it has demonstrated operational effectiveness.

The State Border Guard Service also issued a call for recruits to join the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment, providing application details and contact information for prospective candidates.
