(BELGOROD, RUSSIA) – Recent video footage has emerged capturing a precision strike by Ukrainian High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems against a thermal power station located in the Belgorod region. The recording begins by showing the facility already obscured by smoke from a prior impact, suggesting a sustained engagement. The camera operator subsequently captures a perfectly framed strike involving an airburst variant of the rocket, which is designed to detonate above the target for maximum surface effect.
A second strike occurs slightly out of frame, followed by visible rising smoke. Before the footage concludes, the audible whistle of an incoming projectile suggests a fourth rocket may have impacted the site. Geolocation data indicates the rockets targeted a specific section of the facility, marked by analysts as a critical infrastructure node. These strikes have increased in frequency, indicating that Ukraine has likely received a fresh stockpile of munitions.
Previous attacks on the Belgorod power grid resulted in temporary outages that the Russian authorities appeared to repair with significant haste. This latest bombardment successfully disrupted the local electricity supply again.
The facility is situated approximately 40 kilometres from the Ukrainian border, placing it well within the reach of mobile rocket units.
