(KUPIANSK, KHARKIV REGION, UKRAINE) – Ukrainian drone operators from the National Guard continue to conduct intensive combat operations against Russian forces on the Kupiansk direction, demonstrating that severe winter conditions and freezing temperatures have not reduced the effectiveness of unmanned systems on the battlefield.
According to material released on January 20, 2026, pilots from the unmanned systems battalion known as the Ghost of Khortytsia remain active despite the cold, carrying out regular missions aimed at destroying enemy personnel and military equipment. The footage shows the combat work of first person view drone crews from the 15th National Guard Brigade Kara Dag operating in eastern Ukraine.
The video documents a series of successful strikes against a range of Russian targets. Among those reported as hit are a tank, artillery systems, electronic warfare equipment, field shelters and concentrations of enemy troops. These operations are part of ongoing efforts to disrupt Russian attempts to advance and to establish fortified positions in the area.
The National Guard has also used the publication to encourage recruitment, inviting interested individuals to complete an application through the Kara Dag brigade website.
The material was released by the First Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine Azov, which shares updates on combat operations as part of broader information efforts during the war.
