(TAGANROG, ROSTOV OBLAST) – Visual evidence has emerged confirming a successful operation against the Atlant Aero manufacturing facility in Taganrog, a significant hub for Russian military aviation technology.

The strike, which targeted production buildings within the Rostov region, was a coordinated effort by the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Alpha Special Operations Centre of the Security Service of Ukraine. Footage released by naval authorities illustrates the extent of the damage sustained by the industrial site following the precision attack.

The operation resulted in the confirmed destruction of multiple production workshops. This facility is critical to the war efforts of the Russian dictator, as it is responsible for the design, manufacturing and testing of Molniya strike and reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles.

Furthermore, the plant produces essential components for Orion drones, which are utilised extensively by the Russian military in its ongoing aggression. The loss of these facilities is expected to disrupt the supply of aerial hardware to the front lines.

Military officials in Kyiv confirmed that the strike was carried out using Ukrainian made missiles, highlighting the increasing capability of the Ukrainian defence industry to hit strategic targets deep within the territory of the Russian Federation. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that the operation was part of a broader campaign to degrade the military and economic potential of the occupying forces. In addition to the Taganrog site, several other military facilities in occupied territories were also targeted during the same operational period.

With the Russian economy struggling under the weight of the conflict and international sanctions, the cost of replacing such specialised industrial infrastructure remains high. Current financial data indicates that the Russian Rouble is trading at approximately 77.77 RUB to 1 USD. Consequently, the loss of advanced manufacturing equipment and specialized workshops represents a significant financial and logistical blow to the regime of the Russian dictator.

Targeting the “full cycle” of drone production, from initial design to final assembly,  systematically weakens the technological advantages previously held by the Russian military. Military observers remain sceptical of the ability of the Russian dictator to quickly restore these lost production lines amidst mounting pressure from Ukrainian precision strikes.
