(KYIV) – The Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have executed a series of precision strikes against three critical drilling rigs operated by the Lukoil corporation in the Caspian Sea. During the early hours of 11 January 2026, specialized deep strike units successfully targeted these offshore facilities to disrupt the logistical and energy networks supporting the illegal invasion of Ukraine.

This strategic operation targeted the ice resistant stationary platforms named after V. Filanovsky, Yuri Korchagin, and Valery Graifer. Military officials stated that these assets are integral to the fuel supply chain for the occupation army of the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. The Special Operations Forces confirmed that these asymmetric actions are designed to systematically degrade the ability of the Kremlin to sustain its war efforts.

The reported strike follows a significant expansion of Ukrainian long range capabilities into regions previously considered safe by the Moscow regime. Reports indicate that the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit not only the energy infrastructure but also an air defense unit positioned by the Russian occupiers.

Furthermore, a logistics unit from the 49th army of the occupiers located near the settlement of Novotroitske in the occupied Kherson region was successfully engaged.

Through targeting these specific platforms, Ukraine is focusing on the economic engines that fund the ongoing aggression. The Valery Graifer platform and its counterparts are central to the energy strategy of the Russian state, yet they now appear vulnerable to the advancing technical expertise of the Ukrainian military.
