(UKRAINE) – Ukraine’s Defence Forces have struck a Russian artillery position on a key section of the front line, significantly reducing its combat capability, according to official statements.
The first confirmed result of the strike was the destruction of an enemy artillery gun by units of the 40th Separate Artillery Brigade. The hit was verified through operational reporting from the brigade.
An ammunition depot located close to the artillery position was also struck. The depot detonated after being hit, becoming the second confirmed target destroyed during the operation.
Following the strike on the depot, drones operated by the 40th Artillery Brigade recorded a powerful explosion, the formation of craters and thick black smoke rising from the area, indicating substantial damage.
In addition to the artillery gun and ammunition depot, three shelters used by enemy personnel were also hit during the same strike.
According to available information, Russian forces suffered significant personnel losses, with 13 wounded and six killed.
As a result of a single coordinated strike, Ukraine’s Defence Forces destroyed one artillery gun, three shelters housing enemy personnel and an ammunition depot.
Ukraine’s Ground Forces stated that the destruction of this artillery position had significantly reduced the enemy’s ability to conduct fire missions in that area.
Earlier reports noted that the 40th Artillery Brigade had reinforced its arsenal with Bohdana towed howitzers, enhancing its operational capabilities.
