(POKROVSK, DONETSK) – Members of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have successfully apprehended three Russian infantry personnel during operations in the Pokrovsk sector.

The engagement was facilitated by aerial reconnaissance units which initially spotted a group of Russian troops moving through the area. Following this detection, the brigade command initiated a tactical operation to neutralise the threat, utilizing drone surveillance to provide continuous oversight for the ground troops.

The Ukrainian infantry conducted a systematic and high-risk clearance of the designated area, inspecting buildings individually to ensure the security of the sector. During this process, the soldiers discovered a basement where the Russian troops were positioned.

Recognizing the tactical advantage held by the Ukrainian forces and the immediate threat of grenades being utilized against their vulnerable position, the Russian assault troops chose to surrender.

The three individuals, described as members of a poorly performing military force, offered no resistance during the capture. This successful operation contributes to the Ukrainian exchange fund, which is used to secure the return of Ukrainian defenders from captivity.

The mission was executed within the operational responsibility of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces, which continues to maintain defensive lines in the Donetsk region against the ongoing invasion directed by the Russian dictator Vladimir Putn
