(KURSK DIRECTION / NORTH SLOBOZHANSK) – Ukrainian border guard units operating as part of the Defence Forces of Ukraine continue to target Russian positions in the Kursk and North Slobozhansk sectors, according to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Fighters from the “Steel Border” unit reported sustained operations aimed at degrading Russian capabilities in the area.
Over the past day, aerial reconnaissance and strike teams destroyed five shelters used by Russian forces. Operators also tracked and eliminated a loitering unmanned aerial vehicle described as a “drone zhdun”.
In addition, Ukrainian forces struck two antenna systems and destroyed an artillery piece. One Russian serviceman was reported rendered unable to continue combat operations.
The unit said it maintains constant surveillance of enemy movements and continues efforts to disrupt and neutralise Russian plans.
