(KURSK OBLAST, RUSSIA / NORTH SLOBOZHYANSK DIRECTION, UKRAINE) – Unmanned aerial vehicle operators from the Steel Border Brigade have destroyed five enemy shelters and eliminated four attack aircraft belonging to the occupying forces over the past 24 hours.
The strikes occurred in the Kursk direction within Russian territory and the North Slobozhansk direction in eastern Ukraine. The Steel Border Brigade, operating as part of the Defence Forces of Ukraine, conducted the operations using reconnaissance and strike drones.
In addition to the five shelters and four attack aircraft, the brigade’s fighters also destroyed one enemy vehicle. No further details were provided regarding the specific types of attack aircraft or vehicle destroyed, nor the number of Russian personnel casualties.
The Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s forces have maintained a military presence in the Kursk region, which shares a border with Ukraine’s Sumy and Kharkiv oblasts. Ukrainian units have increasingly conducted cross border operations targeting Russian military infrastructure used to support the invasion.
The Steel Border Brigade is among several Ukrainian State Border Guard units that have been integrated into combat roles since the full scale invasion began. The brigade’s name reflects its mission of defending Ukraine’s borders against encroachment.
The video footage of the operation was released by the press service of the State Border Guard of Ukraine. The engagements occurred in the Kursk direction within Kursk Oblast, Russia, and the North Slobozhansk direction in Kharkiv Oblast and surrounding areas of eastern Ukraine.
