(KHARKIV OBLAST) – Ukrainian border guard drone units have carried out a series of precise strikes against Russian personnel and positions on the battlefield, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine said on Tuesday.

The agency released footage showing operations by FPV drone pilots from the “Sribna Triika” unit of the Pomsta border guard brigade, targeting Russian forces both in the open and in covered positions.

According to the statement, drone operators struck moving targets, pursuing Russian troops attempting to cross open ground. The speed and manoeuvrability of the FPV drones prevented escape and enabled successful engagement.

The footage also shows attacks on fortified positions. Operators guided drones through tree cover and directed them into dugouts, with follow up reconnaissance confirming accurate hits and destruction of enemy shelters.

Night operations were also carried out using drones equipped with thermal imaging systems. These allowed Ukrainian forces to detect and strike targets in darkness and in densely wooded areas.

The border guard service said the precision control of the drones enabled operators to guide them to within close range of targets, often leaving little time for Russian troops to react.

In one instance, a Russian soldier attempted to evade detection by feigning death, but the drone operator identified the movement and carried out a strike.

The footage was released by the Press Service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and shows drone operations against Russian positions in Kharkiv oblast.
