(LYMAN DIRECTION, DONETSK REGION) – Ukrainian border guards said drone pilots from the “Phoenix” unit repelled a Russian assault on the Lyman axis after coordinated strikes on vehicles and troops.
According to the State Border Guard Service, Russian forces launched an attack early in the day, deploying quad bikes, heavy armoured vehicles and military transport gathered over the winter period. The assault involved dozens of vehicles along with a larger number of infantry and assault troops.
Ukrainian UAV crews, working in coordination with adjacent units, targeted the advancing force. Drone strikes hit vehicles on the move and engaged Russian personnel in nearby tree lines, stopping the advance.
The Border Guard Service said the attack was disrupted and the assault force neutralised through coordinated action.
The unit said Russian forces cannot advance in areas where Ukrainian drone units maintain aerial control.
The footage and details were released by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. Location: Lyman direction, Donetsk region.
