Ukrainian Unit Destroys Russian Artillery Piece in Drone Strike

(KHARKIV REGION) – Ukrainian border guards said a drone unit destroyed a Russian artillery piece during operations on the frontline.

The State Border Guard Service said personnel from the “Shchyt” unit of the Pomsta Brigade identified a Russian gun position that appeared inactive. Drone operators decided to engage the target.

According to the statement, an initial drone strike was used to adjust the attack, followed by a second strike which destroyed the artillery system.

The unit said it continues to target Russian equipment, reducing it to scrap as part of ongoing combat operations.

The Border Guard Service also called for public support and donations to sustain operations, and urged volunteers to join its ranks as part of Ukraine’s Defence Forces.
