(KHARKIV REGION) – Two volunteers were killed and one injured in a Russian FPV drone attack in the Kharkiv region on January 22, 2026, while delivering bread to local residents.
The attack occurred in the border community of Derhachi in Kharkiv Oblast. Vyacheslav Zadorenko, head of the Derhachi MVA, confirmed that Russian drones targeted the villages of Kozacha Lopan and Ruska Lozova between 11:30 and 12:00.
At the entrance to Kozacha Lopan, the drone struck a civilian car used by volunteers to deliver bread. The vehicle was destroyed, and two men, aged 35 and 63, died at the scene from their injuries.
Around the same time, another civilian car was attacked in Ruska Lozova. Two men were inside the vehicle and managed to escape. One, a 70-year-old resident, later sought medical attention and is reported to be in stable condition.
