(KORENOVSK, KRASNODAR KRAI, RUSSIA) – Explosion Strikes Russian Military Truck in Korenovsk, Casualties Among Forces
An explosion has occurred in the city of Korenovsk, located in Krasnodar Krai, Russia, targeting a military vehicle associated with the Russian armed forces. The incident, which took place on 26 December 2025, resulted in a fire and reported casualties among Russian personnel. Ukrainian intelligence sources have provided details on the event, raising questions about security at Russian military sites amid ongoing conflicts.
The blast happened at approximately 07:40 at the entrance to the deployment site of the 47th Missile Brigade, part of the 8th Army in the Southern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces. As a consequence of what has been described as a mineexplosive strike, a military Kamaz truck transporting unit personnel ignited. Losses were sustained by the Russian servicemen involved, according to the report.
This information originates from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, as conveyed through UNN. The statement emphasises that the explosion led to the truck catching fire due to the mineexplosive damage. Russian servicemen are confirmed to have suffered casualties in the incident.
Furthermore, the Ukrainian intelligence agency has noted that members of the 47th Missile Brigade are actively engaged in conducting missile attacks on Ukrainian territory. They are also implicated in alleged war crimes against civilians, a claim that aligns with broader accusations levelled against Russian forces in the region. Such assertions, while unverified by independent sources, contribute to the sceptical view of Russian military operations held by many observers.
In a related development, a similar explosion was reported in the temporarily occupied city of Melitopol, in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region. There, four Russian personnel were affected when their Ural vehicle was blown up in Novermber 2025.
