(KYIV, UKRAINE – ) – Ukrainian military forces struck multiple Russian refineries and fuel depots overnight, causing significant fires in regions including Krasnodar and Syzran. The attacks are part of a continued campaign targeting Russian energy infrastructure.

In response, Moscow launched more than 130 drones against Ukrainian territory, striking civilian and energy sites. Ukraine reported that a 12 year old boy was killed in Dnipro, with four others wounded. Across Kherson, Donetsk, and Sumy regions, 19 people were injured due to Russian attacks. Ukraine’s Ministry of Energy confirmed that power outages affected four regions as a result of these strikes.

Ukrainian drones also carried out cross border strikes on Russia’s Krasnodar region, damaging Triuk Seaport infrastructure. Local media reported fuel storage tanks on fire following the attack. In Syzran, drones struck a major oil refinery. Images circulated online indicated damage to a high-rise building in Grozny, near the residence of regional war lord Ramzan Kadyrov and the local FSB headquarters. Local sources suggested electronic warfare systems may have been activated during the incident.

On the eastern frontlines, Ukrainian forces reported that there are no longer districts under fully stable control in Vovchansk. Open source intelligence analysis indicates that most of Siversk is either under Russian control or contested. South of the city, Russian troops advanced near Yampil, moving toward the main road to Siversk. Ukrainian forces have cleared Dobropilia, despite Russian claims of capture, and small Russian reconnaissance units infiltrating outskirts were quickly neutralised.

Ukrainian forces continue to hold control of key settlements despite repeated Russian misinformation campaigns claiming full territorial control.

Ukrainian military intelligence units have also conducted precise operations against Russian air and radar infrastructure in Crimea. On 4 December 2025, a reconnaissance unit struck a Russian Meg 29 fighter jet at Kacha Military Airfield and a radar complex near Sevastopol, demonstrating the effectiveness of Ukrainian special operations in neutralising key military assets.

Additional frontline actions highlighted include the use of advanced anti-tank mines. Ukrainian soldiers have showcased the German DM22, which can be installed in concealed positions and engage armoured vehicles at distances of several dozen meters. Soldiers also successfully intercepted fast-moving Russian FPV drones, highlighting their skill in protecting operational groups.

Ukrainian operations continue to focus on targeting Russian infrastructure and maintaining control of contested settlements while responding to ongoing Russian attacks on civilian and energy facilities.
