(UKRAINE) – Ukrainian Air Assault Forces have destroyed a Russian tank and motorcycle equipment in a series of drone strikes, according to a statement from the 46th Separate Airmobile Podilian Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The brigade reported that Ukrainian paratroopers used drones to strike Russian occupation forces, their equipment, and their shelters. The strikes were carried out over the course of a week and were recorded on video footage later published online.
In a statement on its official Facebook page, the brigade said its units successfully hit an enemy tank and motorcycle equipment and eliminated Russian soldiers along with their positions. It added that the destruction of the tank was a key moment among several precise drone strikes conducted during the period.
The released footage shows Ukrainian forces striking targets accurately and at speed. The drones were used to identify and engage Russian equipment and infantry positions with precision.
The latest operation follows other recent actions by Ukrainian Defence Forces. On January 21, the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces reported the destruction of a Russian Forpost reconnaissance drone in the Sumy region. The drone was estimated to be worth about 7.5 million US dollars.
This was the second such drone downed in the area by anti aircraft units of the 80th Brigade. The same unit had previously destroyed an identical Russian drone in the Sumy region during the summer of 2025.
Ukrainian forces have also reported further strikes against Russian military targets in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. At the end of December, Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces said they had destroyed a command post and a deployment site used by Russian military intelligence special forces.
In addition, Ukrainian troops reported that on the night of December 18 they struck several Russian air defence systems, a drone storage facility, and other military infrastructure in occupied areas.
Ukraine reported a successful strike on a tank storage site, along with numerous other Russian targets.
