(HULIAIPOLE, ZAPORIZHZHIA REGION, UKRAINE) – Ukrainian Armed Forces have destroyed a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group that infiltrated the outskirts of Dobropillia, confirming that the settlement remains under Ukrainian control. Reports suggesting the capture of Dobropillia are false, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The infiltrating group reportedly tried to take advantage of adverse weather conditions to advance, but Ukrainian forces neutralised the threat. On the approaches to Dobropillia, three enemy servicemen were eliminated, with two more destroyed shortly afterward. Ukrainian officials noted that these operatives may have been tasked with demonstrating Russian flags in the village to create a false impression of control.

The 3rd Army Corps refuted claims by the Russian General Staff chief, Valery Gerasimov, regarding an alleged breakthrough in Lyman, Donetsk region. Similarly, the 11th Army Corps denied Russian reports of capturing Klynove. Ukrainian authorities emphasised that such statements are consistent with ongoing Russian propaganda efforts since the start of the war.

The Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine also dismissed Russian claims of full control over both banks of the Oskil River in Kupyansk, Kharkiv region, and noted failed Russian attempts to occupy Huliaipole.

In addition, Defence Forces maintain control over parts of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region. Soldiers of the 17th Army Corps also denied claims regarding the occupation of Zatyshne and Solodke settlements in Zaporizhzhia region.
