(UKRAINE) – Ukrainian Special Operations Forces have conducted a training exercise focused on direct action against enemy positions, demonstrating planning, coordination and controlled movement under combat conditions.
The exercise was carried out by operators from the 3rd Special Operations Regiment and centred on actions conducted directly on enemy held ground. According to information released by the unit, the training began with reconnaissance and a detailed assessment of the terrain. Based on this assessment, the group prepared a route in advance to reduce risk and maintain concealment.
After planning was completed, the team moved covertly towards the simulated enemy positions. The operation emphasised controlled contact, gradual and carefully managed advance, and close coordination among all members of the group. These elements were intended to mirror real battlefield conditions and to test the ability of the unit to operate as a single, disciplined force.
The unit reported that the synchronised actions of the group led to the intended outcome. The simulated enemy was neutralised and a friendly unit was successfully brought onto the secured position. No personnel losses were reported during the exercise.
Ukrainian military officials regularly highlight such training activities as essential to maintaining readiness and improving combat effectiveness. Special Operations Forces play a key role in Ukraine’s defence, particularly in complex missions that require precision, speed and close teamwork.
The 3rd Special Operations Regiment continues to encourage new volunteers to join its ranks, noting that modern training, operational experience and strong unit cohesion are central to its work. Contact details for those interested in joining were shared through secure messaging platforms.
