(POKROVSK, DONETSK OBLAST) – Ukraine’s Defence Forces have carried out a targeted operation near the city of Pokrovsk in eastern Ukraine, destroying a concentration of Russian armoured vehicles and related military equipment, according to official military sources.
The operation took place in Donetsk Oblast and was confirmed by the 7th Corps of the Air Assault Forces, with the information reported by Ukrainian media outlet UNN. The destroyed equipment included an air defence system, tanks, armoured combat vehicles and other military transport.
Ukrainian forces identified the Russian equipment through a combination of intelligence data and aerial reconnaissance. The 7th Corps of the Air Assault Forces worked alongside the 414th Separate Brigade of Unmanned Systems, known as Birds of Magyar, as well as units from the Air Assault Forces group and the unified coordination centre for unmanned systems of the 425th Separate Assault Regiment Skelia.
According to the Ukrainian military, the Russian forces intended to use the detected vehicles to support assault operations in the Pokrovsk direction. In response, Ukraine’s Defence Forces planned a special operation aimed at reducing Russia’s offensive capability in the area.
The strike was carried out by attack aircraft from Lasar’s Group, part of the National Guard of Ukraine. As a result of the operation, several key pieces of Russian military equipment were destroyed, while additional vehicles were damaged.

Fighting continues in and around Pokrovsk, particularly in the southern part of the city. Ukrainian forces have also reported isolated cases of Russian infiltration in the nearby town of Myrnohrad. These attempts were detected and neutralised by Ukrainian units.
Over a twenty four hour period in the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian forces reported holding their defensive positions and neutralising 123 Russian troops. The situation remains tense, but Ukrainian military officials state that defensive lines are holding as operations continue in eastern Ukraine.
