( KYIV ) – Ukrainian military intelligence said a special unit conducted a series of strikes against Russian radar and electronic systems in temporarily occupied Crimea during February 2026.

According to Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence Directorate, specialists from the Ghosts unit carried out operations targeting elements of the Russian air defence network on the occupied peninsula.

Ukrainian officials said that while Russian forces attempted to terrorise Ukrainian airspace, intelligence operatives systematically destroyed radar equipment used by the occupying forces.

The operations resulted in the destruction or disabling of several Russian radar and electronic systems.

Among the equipment reported damaged or destroyed were the 48Ya6 K1 Podlyot radar system, the Sopka 2 radar system and the P 18 Terek radar.

Ukrainian intelligence also reported the destruction of a ground relay station used for Geran and Gerbera unmanned aerial vehicles.

Additional systems struck included the RSP 6M2 radar landing system, a radio jamming station and a 39N6 Kasta 2E2 radar system.

Ukrainian military intelligence said the strikes gradually degraded Russian surveillance and air defence capabilities on the occupied peninsula.

Officials stated that modern Russian radar systems cannot avoid detection when targeted by Ukrainian specialists conducting precision operations.

The Defence Intelligence Directorate said armed resistance against Russian occupation continues.

The operations were reported by the Defence Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence.
