The Charter Search and Strike Group, together with the Kupyansk Tactical Group, has successfully regained control of the city centre of Kupyansk, local military sources report. The operation followed detailed planning and coordinated action by the 2nd Corps of the National Guard.
Soldiers from the Reconnaissance and Strike Group (RSG) of the 4th Battalion of the Charter Brigade raised the Ukrainian national flag over the Kupyansk City Council building, symbolising the restoration of local authority and the successful removal of enemy forces from the area.
According to commanders involved in the operation, the success of the Kupyansk mission demonstrates the effectiveness of the “Charter” method, which emphasises rigorous training of commanders and staff, precise planning, and high-level preparation of combat units. This approach, they say, ensures that hostile forces can be halted and defeated.
The clearing operation in Kupyansk included systematic house-to-house searches and the neutralisation of remaining threats in key areas of the city centre. The National Guard units involved continue to secure the city and assist in restoring essential services to residents.
Footage shared on social media by the Khartiia Brygada account shows the Charter Brigade forces conducting operations and raising the national flag over municipal buildings. Officials emphasised that restoring control of Kupyansk is part of broader efforts to secure the Kharkiv region and protect civilian populations.
