Repeated Blasts Reported at Tuapse Oil Facility

(TUAPSE, KRASNODAR KRAI) – Fresh explosions and fires have been reported at an oil handling facility in the Russian Black Sea port of Tuapse, in what appears to be a further incident in a series of repeated strikes or accidents affecting energy infrastructure in the area.

Video footage circulating online on 28 April shows flames and thick smoke rising from what is described as a fuel storage or processing site. Background audio in the clip features faint but persistent music, alongside commentary suggesting a sense of repetition, likened to a “Groundhog Day” scenario.

The accompanying message claims ongoing “thermal utilisation” of oil resources, described sarcastically as the result of spontaneous ignition.

The footage was shared by a Ukrainian military-linked source identified as “Magyar”, which has previously published updates related to unmanned systems operations.

No official statement has been issued by Russian authorities regarding the latest incident at the time of writing. The Tuapse facility has previously been identified as part of Russia’s Black Sea energy export infrastructure and has been targeted in earlier attacks during the war.

The extent of damage and any disruption to operations remain unclear.
