(KHARKIV OBLAST) – Units of the STRIX unmanned aerial systems group, operating within Ukraine’s Defence Forces, have destroyed a Russian drone control position in the Southern Slobozhanskyi direction, according to the State Border Guard Service press office.
The unit reported that its operations targeted not only enemy equipment but also personnel responsible for operating it. During reconnaissance, Ukrainian forces identified a location from which Russian operators were coordinating unmanned aerial vehicle activity.
The site was being used to manage drone flights, adjust artillery fire and prepare further attacks. After confirming the coordinates, Ukrainian operators carried out a precise strike, destroying the control point without drawing unnecessary attention.
The loss is assessed to have wider operational consequences beyond a single crew. It disrupts the broader system by severing control over drones in flight, cancelling planned missions and forcing Russian forces to divert time and resources to restore capability.
Video footage of the strike was released by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
