(KHARKIV REGION, UKRAINE) – Ukrainian border guards from the “Destruction Team” unit of the 5th Border Detachment are carrying out combat operations on the Northern Slobozhanskyi axis, targeting Russian military assets and personnel.

According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the unit has identified and destroyed Russian first person view drones of the “zhdun” type, which Russian forces have been using more frequently in recent operations.

In addition to eliminating the drones, Ukrainian forces struck communication and control antennas used for unmanned aerial vehicles. These strikes have disrupted Russian aerial reconnaissance and coordination efforts in the area.

Border guards also targeted enemy shelters and personnel, further degrading Russian operational capabilities.

The State Border Guard Service said its units defend Ukraine’s borders as part of the wider Defence Forces of Ukraine.

The service also issued a recruitment call for the 5th Border Detachment, inviting volunteers to join its ranks.
