(KYIV) – Ukrainian drone forces have reported the destruction of thousands of Russian artillery systems and tens of thousands of light vehicles over a ten month period, according to a statement attributed to the Unmanned Systems Forces grouping.
The update, released on 12 April 2026 by units associated with the “Birds” of the Specialised Forces, stated that since the formation of the Unmanned Systems Forces grouping on 11 June of the previous year, Ukrainian operators have targeted and damaged or destroyed nearly 4,000 artillery pieces.
In addition, the same units reported the destruction or disabling of approximately 20,000 units of light transport equipment, including cars and motorcycles, used by Russian infantry formations.
The statement described the scale of Russian equipment losses as significant, noting the volume of materiel deployed and subsequently destroyed over the reporting period. Ukrainian operators indicated that the pace of strikes has steadily increased as drone capabilities have expanded.
The report characterised the campaign as ongoing, with further results expected to be compiled and assessed by 11 June 2026, marking one year since the establishment of the Unmanned Systems Forces grouping.
Ukrainian sources encouraged observers to monitor confirmed strike outcomes through an official online platform known as “Pidrakhuyka”, which provides a running tally of verified results.
