(ZAPORIZHZHIA OBLAST) – Ukrainian drone units have destroyed a Russian TOS-1A “Solntsepyok” heavy flamethrower system in temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region, according to Ukrainian military sources.
Pilots from the 414th Separate Brigade, known as “Birds of Magyar”, working jointly with the 412th Separate Brigade “Nemesis”, carried out the strike on 18 April 2026. The system, described as a highly destructive thermobaric weapon, was identified and engaged in the occupied zone.
An update later confirmed that operators from the “Lasar’s Group” also took part in the operation.
The TOS-1A system, often used by Russian forces for area saturation strikes, is regarded as particularly dangerous due to its thermobaric munitions, which generate high temperature and pressure effects.
Ukrainian forces publish operational results via the SBS “Pidrakhuyka” live tracking platform, which monitors confirmed enemy losses in real time.
Footage and operational details were released by the 414th Separate Brigade “Birds of Magyar”, with the strike reported in temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
