(KHARKIV REGION) – Ukrainian Border Guard drone operators have destroyed key elements of Russian military infrastructure on the South Slobozhanskyi axis, according to official footage released on 1 May.

Operators from the STRIX unmanned aerial systems unit, operating as part of Ukraine’s Defence Forces, carried out a series of coordinated strikes following aerial reconnaissance missions. The reconnaissance teams identified critical nodes used by Russian forces to manage operations and provide aerial cover.

After confirming target coordinates, Ukrainian strike systems were deployed against the positions.

The operation resulted in the destruction of three communication antennas, five electronic warfare systems, two radio direction finding units, and one radar station.

Officials said the losses go beyond equipment. The destruction is expected to disrupt Russian command and control, create blind zones in the airspace, and significantly reduce the ability of Russian units to coordinate actions.

Operations in the sector are ongoing.

The footage was released by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. The engagement took place on the South Slobozhanskyi axis in Kharkiv region.
