Ukrainian drones hit Russian artillery and shelters in north east

(KHARKIV REGION) – Ukrainian Border Guard forces from the 15th Mobile Detachment Steel Border carried out successful strikes against Russian positions on the North Slobozhanskyi axis during Ukraine’s Border Guard Day, according to footage released on 1 May.

Drone operators from the unit conducted aerial reconnaissance and identified multiple targets. The subsequent strikes destroyed two artillery pieces, one vehicle, one quad bike, and two Russian shelters.

According to the statement, drone operations also confirmed the deaths of five Russian troops and injuries to one more.

Officials said the unit’s unmanned aerial systems continue to inflict losses on Russian forces on a daily basis, combining modern technology with operational experience.

The unit also issued a call for volunteers to join its drone operator teams.

The footage was released by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. The engagement took place on the North Slobozhanskyi axis in Kharkiv region.
