(NOVOPLATONIVKA, KHARKIV – UKRAINE) – Information circulating regarding the alleged capture of Novoplatonivka in the Kupyansk direction has been identified as false. The 10th Army Corps of the Ukrainian Ground Forces reported that the village remains under the full control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This statement was issued to counter claims originating from Russian Telegram channels and pro-Russian media figures who asserted that the settlement had fallen to occupation forces.
Specific details from the military indicate that soldiers of the 115th Separate Mechanised Brigade conducted a targeted operation in the area. This mission, which was led by the battalion commander, focused on a strike and search operation designed to identify and neutralise infiltrators from the Russian Federation. To verify the status of the village, the military published a video showing the presence of Ukrainian defenders within the settlement.
This recent wave of disinformation follows a pattern of inaccurate reports from the Kremlin. Earlier, similar claims regarding the Russian occupation of Andriivka in the Sumy region were proven to be untrue. Furthermore, the Azov Corps recently refuted reports that the settlement of Rodynske had been seized, confirming that Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to hold their positions there.
Many observers including Russian “Mil Bloggers” remain sceptical of the battlefield “successes” touted by the Russian dictator and his administration, particularly given the frequent use of cognitive warfare to influence international perception.
