(POKROVSK, DONETSK OBLAST) – The Ukrainian Armed Forces have reported significant damage inflicted on Russian forces through the work of a newly established Drone Systems Coordination Centre operating with the 7th Air Assault Corps.

According to the military, the Coordination Centre for Unmanned Systems has been active for more than a month at the base of the 7th Corps. It brings together representatives from multiple branches of Ukraine’s defence forces that are operating within the corps’ area of responsibility. These include the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces, the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Naval Forces, and the National Guard of Ukraine.

The establishment of the Centre reflects the realities of modern warfare, in which unmanned systems play a central role. Ukrainian commanders say that close cooperation between drone crews, analysts, and operators has significantly reduced the time between detecting a target and striking it. This approach has also improved the accuracy of drone operations and helped reduce casualties among Ukrainian personnel.

The Coordination Centre provides unified operational standards, continuous data sharing, and joint analysis across participating units. Military officials say this integrated structure allows Ukraine to use its drone capabilities more efficiently in support of all formations defending the Pokrovsk urban area and surrounding positions.

As a result of the Centre’s combat operations since the beginning of 2026, Ukrainian forces report that 518 Russian soldiers have been killed or wounded. In addition, Ukrainian drones have destroyed or damaged five armoured vehicles, 45 trucks and light vehicles, and 46 quad bikes and motorcycles used by Russian forces for transport and logistics.

The military also reported the destruction of three ground based robotic systems and damage to 548 Russian engineering and fortification structures. Ukrainian officials say these results highlight the growing importance of coordinated unmanned operations in countering Russian assaults and disrupting logistics and defensive preparations along the front line.
