A video released by the Birds of Magyar, the 414th Brigade of Ukrainian drone operators on 27th Dec. 2025 shows drones actively targeting Russian infantry units on the frontlines. The footage, lasting approximately four minutes, depicts a chaotic scene of combat in eastern Ukraine.
Ukrainian sources described the operation as “calming the beast,” a phrase used by the unit to characterise sustained efforts against Russian positions. Pilots from the 414th Brigade have been conducting ongoing drone missions, combining reconnaissance with precision strikes to disrupt Russian troop movements and degrade frontline capabilities.
The Birds of Magyar have gained a reputation for their ability to operate drones under active combat conditions. Ukrainian officials say such units are crucial for locating enemy positions, guiding artillery, and striking high value targets while minimizing risks to personnel.
