(ZAPORIZHZHIA) – Special units within the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine have successfully concluded a comprehensive three month defensive operation on the Zaporizhzhia axis.
The mission, executed by the Timur Special Unit, was designed to disrupt the offensive planning of the Russian military and prevent any further advancement toward the regional capital. Through a combination of active combat and precision strikes, the Ukrainian forces have effectively stabilised the defensive lines at positions advantageous to the defenders of Ukraine.
During the course of the 90 day operation, Ukrainian special forces accounted for more than 300 Russian casualties, including those killed and wounded in action. Furthermore, 39 Russian servicemen were taken into custody as prisoners of war.
The intelligence led operation involved a diverse coalition of specialised sub units, including Chimera, the Russian Volunteer Corps, Brotherhood, Aratta, the Siberian Battalion, Stugna, First Line, 1514, Paragon, BDK, Guardians of Darkness, Raven Group, Art Division, and the 6th Special Action Detachment.
The systematic use of precision drone strikes and coordinated artillery fire has significantly degraded the logistical capabilities of the occupying forces. Ukrainian intelligence reports indicate that the resulting lack of supplies and equipment has led to an increasing number of Russian troops refusing to participate in assault operations along this sector.
By neutralising these logistical routes, the Timur Special Unit has successfully safeguarded the city of Zaporizhzhia from the immediate threat of a Russian breakthrough.
The financial cost of these Russian losses is considerable. Despite these mounting costs and the clear failure to achieve territorial objectives, the Russian dictator continues to commit resources to a stalled campaign. The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine released footage documenting these operations, concluding with the traditional patriotic salute of Glory to Ukraine.
